A Story…

Once upon a time, a girl met a boy.

They chatted for hours about the most random things. They found comfort in each other’s company. In no time, comfort turned to affection. Affection turned to love.

They were madly in love.

But they knew they weren’t meant to be. No matter how hard they tried to make things work, no matter how much they love each other. Some walls were too strong to tear down. Some differences were too real to ignore.

Therefore, in tears and with so much pain from both sides, they parted. Still in love, they bid their goodbyes to the most beautiful relationship they have ever had.

And she still cant get him out of her mind.

She misses him. So much.

So she wrote this poem to keep her strong.

To let him know that in her heart, he will always belong…

I want to fall asleep in your eyes

No matter how unfamiliar they may be

I want to dance to your lullabies

Even if your words are strange to me

You want to hold me close in your dreams

Imagination’s tangled at the seams

You want to lock me tight, hug me all your might

And we can share our hearts throughout the night

We tried our best to stand

We prayed it wouldn’t end

But logic came to play, even though we’ve prayed

We swallowed our tears

We’re face to face with fears

And when it’s time, we cry our long goodbyes

Could have had the world,

Now we’re lost for words

Should have been forever,

Now it’s only never

But we both know

Wherever we will go

We’ll keep each other in our hearts

Though we’re oceans apart..

Beautiful, Wulan. It’s sad to imagine a love that can’t be. Longing, laughing, tears and sorrow. Dreams to comfort.

    Very well done!

Can I assume you and the Irish boy didn’t make it? Judging from this poem?
